Frequently Asked Questions

When is it time for a new mattress?
The average innerspring mattress has a quality lifespan of around 6-8 years, but recent technological advances in coil units and alternative sleep surfaces has extended the longevity of many mattresses.  One sure sign that it’s time for a new mattress is if your current sleep set is showing signs of body indentation, sagging, or bumps.  Many mattress owners overlook the sanitary aspects of your sleep surface.  If improperly protected, some mattresses can be havens for dust mites, mold and bacteria.  Take the time to discuss with your sales associate how to choose a sleep set that will be durable for a sufficient amount of time and protect you against common household allergens.
Should I replace my box spring also?
Having a box spring/foundation is a necessary component of an adequate sleep system.  A properly supported mattress will ensure longevity, support and even comfort.  The box spring/foundation works as a shock absorber and some brands require a matching foundation in order for the warranty to stay intact.
What’s the best brand?
Brand is completely subjective to the individual consumer.  The most important thing to shop for isn’t necessarily brand, but it’s what will best suit your specific needs.  Some factors (but not limited to) that need to be considered are price, warranty, return policy, and mattress components.  The Mattress Hub believes in helping you make the best buying decision so we provide a wide variety of brands and products so you can review several options.  One thing will always be certain, whether you are looking for brand, price or comfort, “We Won’t Be Undersold!”
What sizes do you carry?

All the industry standard sizes are available with nearly all our sleep sets.  You can find a list of all industry standard sizes below.  Depending on the brand and specific sleep set, The Mattress Hub has the ability to order “specialty sizes” such as (but not limited to) Full Long, California Queen and split Queen Foundations.

Industry Standard Sizes:
Twin                38”x75”
Twin XL         38”x80”
Full                  54”x75”
Queen              60”x80”
King                76”x80”
Cal King          72”x84”

Do I need to flip or rotate my mattress?
One problem in the innerspring mattress industry is the breakdown of one’s sleep set.  A major contributor to this in the past was that manufacturers produced “dual sided pillowtops.”  This allowed you to flip the mattress and better control your breakdown period.  Manufacturers began cutting corners in quality so that the “2 mattresses in 1” approach would be affordable and in turn breakdown was more prevalent.
Most major mattress brands have now changed to no-flip mattresses.  Manufacturers increased quality thus allowing your one sided coil structure to give you much better support. While rotating a one-sided mattress is recommended, it’s not necessary.
Memory Foam and Latex mattresses are known for their longevity and resilience over the years.  The Mattress Hub has an outstanding selection of pressureless sleep systems (memory foam and latex) that never need flipped nor rotated.
Do I need a “firm” or “soft” mattress?
Comfort level, whether firm, plush or soft, is an important factor yet it is not the only thing to consider when purchasing a mattress.  Many people believe that a “firm” mattress is healthier for your body.  This is not necessarily true.  An equally important gauge to measure in a mattress is support and a softer sleeping surface does not mean you are giving up support.  A Mattress Hub Sales Associate will assist you in finding the proper balance of comfort and support.
How do I properly protect my mattress?
When you spend nearly a third of your life on your mattress it is vital that your sleep surface is clean.  The most efficient way to safeguard your sleep set is with a mattress protector. The Mattress Hub is contracted with Protect-A-Bed, the worldwide leader in mattress protection.  A Protect-A-Bed mattress protector is water, dust mite and allergen proof and will provide you with a healthy and clean sleeping environment.
What is your return policy?
It is our goal at The Mattress Hub to ensure that you are confident with your purchase.  To the best of our ability we will make sure you are sleeping on the perfect sleep system for your personal needs.  We offer The Mattress Hub Comfort Guarantee to give you peace of mind when making a buying decision.
What is the warranty on your products?
All products in a Mattress Hub store are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.  The warranty for your sleep system is subject to which specific brand and mattress you buy.  Warranty stipulations and length will vary dependant upon a variety of factors, but one thing you can be certain of is that all products carried in The Mattress Hub chain of stores will be protected. If you have a warranty claim just call your local Mattress Hub store for further details.  Please provide proof of original purchase with an authorized invoice.
What if I find a comparable sleep system at a better price?
Rest assured that if you are shopping for the best price point you can look no further than your local Mattress Hub store.  If you happen to find a comparable sleep system at a better price point we will match our sales price and reward you with another 10% off.  We mean it when we say “We Won’t Be Undersold!”
